MY DEPTH-ORIENTED Approach
Here are the four primary pathways I use to navigate our work:
EMDR: REDUCING DISTRESS
The Tool: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps your brain process memories that still feel raw or overwhelming. We acknowledge that many of your "triggers" aren't just personal—they are responses to a world that hasn't always been safe or supportive. EMDR allows you to reclaim your narrative.
Best for: Moving past "stuck" and distressing memories stored in the body
2. Internal Family Systems (IFS): Befriending Your Inner World
The Tool: We look at the mind as a system of "parts." You might have a "Perfectionist" part, a "People-Pleaser," or a "Caregiver." Instead of fighting these parts, we get curious about them. We work toward "Self-Leadership," where your core, calm essence is the one in charge—not your fears.
Best for: Quieting the inner critic, resolving internal conflict, reparenting young child parts that are still getting "activated.”
3. Somatic Work: Reclaiming Your Body
The Tool: This is "bottom-up" therapy. Since highly sensitive bodies feel everything more intensely, we focus on physical sensations to help regulate your nervous system. For many, the body has felt like a place of judgment or a vessel for others' needs. We treat your body as a source of wisdom and agency, learning to trust its signals rather than fearing its messages.
Best for: Chronic overwhelm, sensory burnout, and "unexplained" physical tension.
4. Dream Work: Tapping into the Subconscious
The Tool: Your dreams are a bridge to your deepest intuition. We don't use a "one-size-fits-all" dream dictionary; instead, we explore the symbols and emotions your mind creates while you sleep. The Feminist Lens: In a world that prizes logic and productivity above all else, dream work honors your inner life and imagination. It is an act of reclaiming your own "inner mythology."
Best for: Accessing creative solutions, finding clarity during life transitions, and connecting with your subconscious "gut feeling."
Why these tools fit SENSITIVE POEPLE
When you are highly sensitive, your brain processes information deeply. These modalities respect that depth. We don't rush; we move at the pace of your nervous system.
A Note on Safety: You are the expert on your experience. My role is to offer these tools through a lens of equality and respect, ensuring you always feel in control of the healing process.
